A good example of this Kings Ware decanter, the rarer of the two models of Nelson Royal Doulton produced for Dewar's Whisky in the early twentieth century. Kings Ware was developed by Charles Noke, Royal Doulton's principal modeller in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. It was used mainly in applications for advertising and packaging hence its adaption by Dewar's Whisky for their range of character decanters in the early twentieth century.
