A good example of an English traveller's compass. Blued compass needle on a crystal pivot, North and South marked. Spring loaded brass needle lock. The compass points are on printed paper in typical period style.

The case is a hinged solid mahogany with a cast brass catch. Hinges are replacements. Machined brass holding bezel.
