A sophisticated crescent sundial with a metal, needle-shaped gnomen set with-in a wooden case. The mechanism for the gnomen and crecent scale is finely engineered and has a crisp, as-new action. The time scale is in white metal with engraved numbers.
The compass dial is silvered with an inner and outer ring. The inner with the cardinal compass points and the outer broken down to degrees.
Manual needlelock and manually adjustable levelling pegs.
Within the machined wooden lid, a printed list in French of cities in Europe and the Americas with their latitudes.
