The Hughes "HUSUN" 3 1/2 inch sextant that dates to the Second World War, The examination certificate pasted into the inside of the lid is dated 1944.

The instrument is of blackened brass with a silvered scale as shipped from their workshops.
Original fitted mahogany case.
Henry Hughes and Son Ltd were famous British Admiralty instrument makers, still in business today.
A good example of a Second World War sextant, in near mint condition.
