The Naval Annual was published from1886 and contained much information and illustrations in regard to the British Royal Navy and also on the state of the navies of foreign powers. It put itself forward as a work of serious investigation of matters naval with detailed articles and in-depth analysis.
The 1904 edition was especially important because one of the articles was an early appraisal of the Japanese-Russian War in the North Pacific and the defeat of the Russian fleet. Other articles discuss the latest Japanese war ships.
Spine a little worn, binding rubbed and minor time staining on occasion.
