Published Edinburgh 1858. Large octavo. Full black morocco, gilt tooled with dentelles, all edges gilt. Bears the book plates of firstly Hugh Walpole, the English writer. A subsequent owner was Geoffrey Ingleton, the Australian bibliophile, historian and artist and bears his bookplate and stamp on the rear free end paper and numbered 6971. Another owner was the collection "Brackenburn".
A very superior presentation of the famous poem by William Falconer, first published in the eighteenth century. Illustrated through out by wood engravings after Birket Foster.
Preliminaries some what time stained and a few minor bumps. Generally in a very good state.
